Quality Policy
Quality Policy Statement
The mission of the National Veterinary Research Institute is to conduct scientific research and development work in accordance with the Institute’s statute, disseminate the results of this work, and cooperate with external organizations in their implementation into practice. The activities of NVRI are also directed toward ensuring customer satisfaction and meeting customer expectations. This is achieved by performing tasks defined in plans that set the research directions of the Institute, as well as by operating in areas for which the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development is the leading authority.
Bearing in mind the mission of NVRI and the needs of interested parties, the Institute strives to continuously
improve the quality of services offered while maintaining the principles of impartiality, protection of confidential information, and property rights. The National Veterinary Research Institute sets the following objectives for implementation:

- building and maintaining the image of a reliable, friendly, and trustworthy partner for customers and all parties interested in cooperation with the Institute,
- maintaining and improving the implemented management system,
- maintaining and continuously improving competence,
- improving the research methods used,
- investing in modern equipment.
Achievement of the established objectives is possible through adherence to the following principles: - entrusting task execution to highly qualified staff, continuously trained, applying research methods appropriate for the intended application and purpose of the test result,
- equipping laboratories with modern equipment and analytical procedures that ensure the validity of test results,
- The Institute, when providing services to its customers, acts reliably and impartially, guided by good laboratory practice and quality of testing. Tests are conducted in accordance with established methods and the requirements and needs of customers,
- not engaging personnel in any activity that could threaten the objectivity of judgments and reliability of operations,
- taking planned actions regarding risks and opportunities in accordance with the applicable procedure, including their ongoing identification, analysis, and documentation (including to maintain impartiality),
- The Quality Policy and documentation of the NVRI-NRI management system are known to all Institute employees and consistently applied in practice (when applicable),
- applying a management system compliant with the requirements of the PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard.
Laboratories in their operations act in accordance with the principles defined in the NVRI-NRI Quality Manual and other management system documents. The effectiveness of the management system is continuously monitored and improved. The Institute conducts testing within both fixed and flexible scopes of accreditation. NVRI-NRI’s possession of accreditation is confirmed by “Scopes of Accreditation” documents, which constitute annexes to accreditation certificates.
These documents refer to “Lists of activities conducted within the flexible scope of accreditation” (if applicable), which precisely define the boundaries of the granted flexibility.
The purpose of the implemented management system is to ensure the validity of test results, meet customer expectations, the expectations of the recognition-granting organization and regulatory authorities, maintain the position of a leading veterinary laboratory in Poland, as well as effective cooperation with veterinary
laboratories worldwide.
The foundation of NVRI is competent and qualified employees, aware of the objectives the Institute aims to achieve, knowing their duties, authorizations, and rights arising from the requirements of the established management system, as well as from regulations defining the area of NVRI-NRI activities.
The management system documentation at NVRI-NRI is generally accessible to all employees.
Personnel are systematically trained in its application, in accordance with current organizational needs.
NVRI guarantees consistent operation of all organizational units through the implementation of uniform general procedures and related instructions, application of a common management system, and implementation of processes based on the same principles compliant with the PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard.
