Guests from Latvia in the Institute [2010-07-27 11:56:58]

On July 20-21, 2010, representatives from the Institute of Food Safety, Animal Health and Environment “BIOR” (Riga, Latvia) visited the National Veterinary Research Institute within the EU Project Nr. 1DP/1.5.1.3.1/08/APIA/SIF/019/29. The visit aimed at experience exchange in respect to organisation and duties of scientific units, and implementation of management system in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025:2005 standard in NVRI laboratories. Delegation composed of Dr Rafaels Joffe, Director General, Olga Valcina, Deputy Director on Research Matters, Jelena Koola, Head of the Department of Quality Management System, and Heads of particular scientific units, became acquainted by Professor Jan F. Żmudziński, NVRI Deputy Director for Research, and Professor Jadwiga Piskorska-Pliszczyńska, NVRI Quality Manager, with modern laboratories, management system, and system documentation as well.
